Cobys Voice

Coby Bleakney was a child who possessed a heart of gold and the kindest, sweetest soul. A contagious smile, and eyes that would light up every room that he entered. Coby was intelligent beyond his years and was passionate about music and gaming.
On March 22, 2018, Coby took his own life. Coby's death is the result of being bullied to the point where he felt this was his only option. Bullying is real in every child's life. As parents, we need to talk with our children about bullying and teach them to stand up when something is seen or heard. No matter the age no parent should ever have to bury a child.
Coby's voice went unheard when school officials failed to listen to the cries for help. The system failed Coby. It is our wish, our mission that no other child's pleas for help fall on deaf ears. We, as a whole, need to stand up, speak out, and put an end to bullying once and for all.
There are three kinds of kids. 1. victims of bullying 2. witnesses to bullying 3. bullies All our youth is at risk and needs help handling these situations. This is a nationwide epidemic. Over 160,000 kids skip school daily due to some sort of bullying issue.
